The Aviation Ball is the flagship annual event of Women in Aviation Croatia, bringing together aviation professionals, institutions, industry leaders, partners and friends for an evening dedicated to the future of aviation. The inaugural Ball marks a historic milestone—90 years since the first Croatian woman earned her pilot licence—celebrating the pioneers who opened the skies while inspiring the next generation to follow.

The association Women in Aviation Croatia was founded in 2026 to connect women working and studying across various fields of Croatian aviation, increase their professional visibility, and provide tangible support to new generations of women entering the sector.
The Aviation Ball 2026 is the inaugural major charity gala organized by Women in Aviation Croatia. It carries a socially responsible mission: raising funds for a financial support program for female students attending secondary aviation vocational schools in the Republic of Croatia. The event will take place on October 10, 2026, starting at 7:00 PM, on the departures level of the passenger terminal at Franjo Tuđman Airport.
This date also marks the 90th anniversary of the day the first woman in Croatia earned her pilot’s license, honoring the women whose knowledge, courage, and dedication opened new pathways for future generations.
The Aviation Ball is envisioned as an event uniting all sectors of Croatian aviation in one venue. Its ambition extends beyond a one-off gala evening; the goal is to establish October 10 as an annual benchmark highlighting the expertise, responsibility, technological advancement, and people that drive the Croatian aviation system.
The Aviation Ball 2026 will bring together representatives of the Croatian aviation sector, national and international institutions, the aviation industry, educational organizations, partners and supporters, media representatives, and members of the broader aviation community.
Join us for an evening dedicated to solidarity, networking, and empowering new generations of young women in STEM fields.
Alongside a curated program, a flying buffet, drinks, a live jazz orchestra, and dancing, we wish to express our heartfelt gratitude to all friends, partners, donors, and sponsors whose contributions make this program possible.
The Ball is an exclusive, invitation-only event limited to 300 guests. We encourage all invitees to support the financial aid program by making a donation to Women in Aviation Croatia.
Every donation — particularly contributions exceeding the suggested amount — directly expands our capacity to support more female students through this initiative.
