Women in Aviation Croatia Signs the "City of Aviation" Friendship Charter in Velika Gorica

On September 30, 2026, at the Velika Gorica Tourist Board Visitor Center, the Women in Aviation Croatia association signed the "City of Aviation" Friendship Charter. By doing so, the association joined an initiative that marks ten years of activity and brings together key stakeholders of the aviation sector in the Velika Gorica area.

The Charter was signed by the Mayor of Velika Gorica, Krešimir Ačkar, and the President of the Association, Eva Pavić, in the presence of the initiative's founder, Juraj Odrčić.

On this occasion, the charity Aviation Ball 2026 was announced, which will take place at the new passenger terminal of the Franjo Tuđman Airport on October 10 at 7:00 PM. This event is aimed at providing financial support and mentorship to female students of aviation high schools in the Republic of Croatia.

The goal of the ball is to gather the aviation community and its partners to raise one-time financial aid for younger generations of girls who are just entering the world of aviation.

"These girls have made an important step by choosing their education. We want to support them on the rest of their journey and connect them with women already working in the aviation sector to help them develop their careers," emphasized Eva Pavić, President of the "Women in Aviation Croatia" Association, inviting all interested parties to get involved.

Mayor Krešimir Ačkar extended his full support to the work of the Association and the upcoming ball: "We express great honor and support for this noble initiative, which also has a humanitarian character. I am sure that with this kind of enthusiasm and expertise, our community will only grow stronger."
